Qina Mbokodo performs at the ReRooting Art Festival

In partnership with ReRouting Arts Festival and the Association for Rural Advancement (AFRA), Dr Gcina Mhlophe will be working with a group of female farm workers, from around the uMgungundlovu area. These women are part of our PMB community and yet their stories are largely untold and unheard by the general public.

AFRA is a land rights advocacy non-governmental organization working to support marginalized black rural people, with a focus on farm dwellers. Qina Mbokodo is a women’s group within Siyanqoba Rural Transformation Forum.

Mhlophe will be working with these women during the week of the festival and will help them present their stories to the PMB public. This will be the first public performance for the group and the beginning of a longer process that will take place over the coming year.

Date: Saturday 14 March
Time: 12pm
Venue: Carbineers Garden

This performance is part of the Saturday live performance programme which starts at 10am.
